[Experience] A great combination of pixel art and action, 'Guardis Order'

  • Game Name: Guards Order

  • Genre: Action

  • Service / Developer: Aka Games / Road Complete

  • Yo: 'Wadis Order' is a side-scrolling action RPG set in the background of the medieval fantasy worldview. It is a game that allows you to enjoy the taste and exciting action of console sensitivity in a mobile environment based on beautiful dot graphics. In 2022, the first demonstration version was prepared through G-Star.

Road Complete's new work, 'Guards Order', which developed 'Crusader Quest', was unveiled at the G-Star 2022 site. The new Guards Order further enhances the pixel art that has accumulated the know-how of developing the previous Crusader Quest, and this time it was developed as a manual cross-scrolling action game based on manual operation.

Nearly a year later, 'Guards Order', which appeared for the first time last year, is now available. The side-scrolling action game of Pixel Art was quite rare, and after more than a year since it was released, it was clearly known as the demo version. As I was looking forward to it, I visited Aka Games Booth first in G-Star.

The demonstration version of the Guards Order that appeared in G-Star is a built-in building that can play a kind of prologue in advance. You can experience the process of finding the goddess in the temple of the goddess in a big crisis, and Jan's risk.

The Guards Order is an action game using a virtual pad, so if you have seen a similar game, you will be familiar with it. The Guards Order has a unique dot graphic sensibility that is unique to the road complete, and it feels that this part blends well with the action.

Instead, some operations are a bit unusual, for example, guards and dashes. Except for the direction key, you can only enter the guard key, but if you enter with the direction key, the operation is applied to be recognized as 'avoidance'. I was worried that it would be cumbersome because I had to use it quite often, but it was not a big problem because it was quickly adapted than I thought.

Paring through just guards is beneficial, such as not consumption of stamina, and you can take down the enemy using unique and special skills. If you proceed well, the strong enemies will be braked, and you can more cumulative damage to this timing.

In addition, you can shift your colleagues to use your colleagues' skills. The skills of colleagues also used map gimmicks with special effects, and there were also elements that could be operated strategically. If the shift timing is also appropriate, there is an increase in the interval between the attack and the damage. And the colleagues in rest restore the HP little by little, and the cooldown is applied.

This method of action game itself is not a big new. Nevertheless, the action part itself, which can be called these parts, was quite well refined. I felt that the right sound, the dot graphic production and the cut scene were perfect. Even though it's a demonstration version, it was a demonstration that I could concentrate so much that I didn't know how to concentrate throughout the game time.

The part I thought I could give one more score was directing. As you know, dot graphics and mobile productions are clearly limited. In this area, the Guards Order felt the part of the production that could be shown as much as possible in the framework of 'dot graphics'.

The expressions of the characters embodied by the dot were somewhat exaggerated, so the emotions were clearly conveyed, and when necessary, there was a transition to the conversation with the illustration. Above all, the directing itself was quite powerful than I thought. Of course, I think dot graphics are well-made.

Personally, I think I liked the development of the story. The protagonist, Liz bet, tries to convey the goddess's memoir and the last hope, 'Wadis Order' to the goddess Elizabeth, and depicts the process of preventing the fallen temple and the god of ruin.

And in this process, my colleagues were sacrificed, but I wanted to convey and manage to have a good development, but it wasn't perfect. In addition, the attempt itself is finally failed by the inception of the god of ruin.

The Guards Order, which was a crisis to be taken by the god of ruin, is scattered by the goddess and flew to the past, and heroes are already showing a story about the story of inheriting the fate that may be defeated, not victory. I already liked the story itself because there are many parts that will be felt a bit spicy and foretelling various crises.

Even though it is a demonstration version, I think 'Guards Order' is a game that you can expect. The directing was fine, and I had both the taste of the action and the coolness of the play. The story also blends well with the dot graphics, and I think it showed a powerful direction in this process.

I don't know how it will change in the process of being released in the future because there are few open parts. However, the released content alone shows a significant level of completion, so if you arrive at G-Star site, you can recommend it.
